ABOUT OUR STUDIO

Clay 'N Latte was started in 1998 and has been a fixture of San Diego County ever since. We closed our original Carmel Mountain location in 2015 and decided to focus on our Vista location. We have been part of the vibrant downtown Vista Village community since 2004, bringing unique mediums of art to both adults and children alike.
Our spacious studio has all of the supplies you need. We can seat up to 50 people in our space and offer a back room for birthdays and events. All of our firing is done on site, we have three kilns and a glaze tank in our back room where your items come to life. In

HOW LONG SHOULD I PLAN FOR MY VISIT?

The time you spend with us will vary greatly depending on several factors. What you are creating, whether you are painting or doing glass, we advise allowing yourself at least 1 to 2 hours. Some can take up multiple days on a very detailed project, so it also depends on how in depth your artwork will be.

I'M NOT AN ARTIST, AND ART IS OVERWHELMING FOR ME.

It is 100% normal to feel overwhelmed by art, but in our studio we believe that everyone has an artist living inside them. We just help bring them out and cut down the intimidation by showing you techniques, specialty supplies like silkscreens and stamps, and we even have step by step project books and samples to get you going.

WHAT ABOUT MY LATTE'?

Back when Clay N' Latte opened in 1998 we had several locations with full service espresso bars in each. However, as time went on, a certain coffee giant started popping up not only on every corner, but near our studios. We were no longer able to serve coffee in our studios. By that time, our name was well known, and changing it would make it hard for our customers to find us!
